I'm headed out on a last minute vacation in just a few hours. I need to go away somewhere for a few days were I can't train. I'm going to go, reset, and come back stronger than ever. Oh, the hotel does have a treadmill. ;-)>

A change of scenery does the mind and body wonders. Relax and get those batteries charged. Enjoy the downtime just as much as you enjoy the business of life. Word.

Big fan of yours Keith glad to see u get away and get some ME time, we all need that. I hate seeing u get clipped and lose especially when I know you can beat most the guys u have lost to. I saw the Bonner fight I thought u won that by split. The Alexander fight u could have finished him quick but u got a bit reckless. Wanderlei, Silva & Bader I don't know why u stand and trade punches early u have sick Muay Thai and could easily pick them apart and then trade hands later rounds. I'm not a coach or fighter so what do I know, but I see u taking risks early that don't make sense to my untrained eye. The way I always saw u win was u softening your opponent up with leg kicks and taking away their stand up game; I wish you would go back to that. As a fan I want to see u start a winning streak, I know u want that even more. Have a nice vacation and thanks for being the DEAN OF MEAN!

About This Blog

I was born in Butte, Montana.
A proud town known for its hard nosed rough sort of people. From there, I moved to a small town in Central Oregon where I spent a number of years before moving to Southern California. This is where I went to Canoga Park High School and then LA pierce Junior College.

I spent my last two years of college football at a division II school in Las Vegas New Mexico called New Mexico Highlands University. I finished playing football there and then coached for a few years when I met a guy teaching mma at the local rec. center. I was sold right away and drove to Albuquerque to meet Greg Jackson, who was already well known in the area. I then decided to move to Albuquerque to train with him. That was in 2000 and I have been here every since.

I got my big break in 2005 when, after my training partner Diego Sanchez did so well on The Ultimate Fighter season 1 where I got the opportunity to be on the second season of the show. Although I didn't win, I learned a lot from both Rich Franklin and my training partners while at the same time developing lifelong friendships. The show was great for my career, and has given me the opportunity to become a full time fighter and to progress to where I am today.

I have had 11 fights now in the UFC and I am currently regarded as one of the best fighters in the world.
