Last week I was let go by the UFC. I was sad to get the news but it was expected. I've always been proud to be a UFC fighter and they have been real good to me. I can't help but to feel a bit like I'm losing a family.
As for now, I'm more motivated than ever. I'm going to take a vacation for a week then get back to work. Already, there are a lot of offers for fights coming I'm. Some are exciting. Starting over doesn't sound so bad to me. Although my career is at a crossroads my story is only half written. I have a lot of fight left in me and I continue to improve with every fight. Anyway, I'm best when the chips are stacked against me and I will make it to the top. Thanks to all of my fans.

I'm really sorry about your release. It's not like you were like Chuck, and not even being competitive. Oh well, the past is the past and there is nothing we can do about it.
But you're right, a week to chill out and get back in the gym. Despite the decision not going your way, you looked really good against Hamil. Just keep working hard. I'm sure Team Jackson knows what the best move is from here.
You could always work to get back in the UFC, but I'd like to see you try your hand at Strikeforce. We all believe in you Keith!

I'll be honest Keith, at first when I started becoming a fan of MMA in 2005/2006, I wasn't a fan of yours. However, after seeing you continuously fight the best in the game, and bringing it fight after fight, I really began to respect and admire your game. The sport needs more blue collar, stand up guys like you who bring it win or lose, as oppose to guys like tito who always has an excuse...I have no doubts you'll be back Keith, best of luck!

How do you go from being fight of the night to getting cut? The issue is you are on the brink of being a top contender so every fight is a difficult one and that makes it hard for you to go down and fight chumps in the UFC. A couple of big wins outside of the UFC will have Dana give you a spot. Stay motivated and fight as long as you are having fun because folks like me will follow you.
I think we all knew it was on the cards but you have such a big fanbase I am sure if you want to be in the ufc again you could, just need to string a few wins together elsewhere first.
Keith, I think a temporary stint in an organization like MFC would be great. They seem to have a lot of fighters go back and forth, so you still get some decent competition without going to a promotion that competes directly with the UFC.

What in the hell justifies them letting you go?!? I mean I am a big UFC fan and while I have always been neutral to you as a fighter, I have to admit you always made fights extremely tough for whomever you faced. If this decision came from Dana its bullshit because his best friend Chuck performed much worse in his past 5 fights. The UFC shouldn't be about just winning, its all for entertainment and you were one of the BEST at doing that. As a fan, I'd rather see a guy lose and "BRING IT!" then see someone win wit a mediocre pin em' to the ground strategy. It seems your head is still held high so just keep at it and you will be running the LHW division somewhere. The UFC will miss "Dean of Mean"
I never thought I would see this day. The Dean of Mean being cut from the UFC. I understand its a business, buts it feels like your being fired from your job, or evicted from your home without reason. I can't honestly say I'm your biggest fan Keith, but I do have to say that you always bring it. I'd rather watch you fight than a whole laundry list of UFC fighters; two of which are "Champions"! (Brock Lesnar, Anderson Silva). I tend to find their fights a good time for a nap, but I'm always on the edge of my seat whenever you're beating some of my favorite fighters LOL! Anyway, keep your head up bro. You'll land somewhere and shake up the leaderboards wherever it is!

I've tweeted to Dana as well that this was a horrible decision. I can only think of a handful of fighters that bring it 110% every fight and the "Dean on Mean" always did. The outcome matters less than the effort, its what sells a fight (at least to me). Its like the UFC cutting Clay Guida for losing......

Keith, I'll be the only honest one here to say it like it is, I enjoyed watching you get your ass beat down, you had to be brought back to reality. You have always come across as a cocky fighter, you showed many times that you did not have the respect for your opponents that you should have had. This what turned me against you, I can't stand fighters that think so much of themselves that they are to good to fight certain fighters, like when you fought Houston Alexander, you showed the man zero respect and you got beat down for it, the same goes for when you fought Mr. Silva, you actually thought you were the better fighter, you then got beat down again. Once you become a humble confident fighter, then you'll have my respect. Good luck to you in the future, im sure you'll do just fine.

Ever thought about switching camps? Although Jackson's camp is very highly regarded, it seems as though your style has been stifled there.
The Keith Jardine that I feel is the most successful is the aggressive, unorthodox, leg kicking wrecking machine. Seems like Jackson has been trying to turn you into someone methodical and technically superior to your opponents instead of embracing the MEAN.

Although there is obvious negatives that surround being cut, there is a huge upside as well. When you go to another organization you will be the big dog and get the money that you deserve as a fighter. The UFC gave you no respect with your contract. In my opinion this is the best thing for your career. Go whoop some ass make good money then go back to the UFC with a higher price tag on you. If you never evolve you will be left behind and that is what happened. You deserved to get the boot. Upside though - I am sure you will get a lot of organizations calling you that are willing to probably pay you more if not just as much as you were making in the UFC.

Can't believe some of the moronic comments posted here, but I guess that's to be expected with a rowdy crowd like this.
I have to admit that I'm truly shocked the UFC let you go. Your unorthodox striking style always made for some exciting fights and I made it a point to order any PPV UFC card you were on just because of that.
I hope to see you back in the UFC at some point, but if that doesn't happen I look forward to seeing you fight with another organization.
