Step 1

Saturday, July 17, 2010

My objective in fighting is to fight the best fighters in the world. Also, my goal is to one day fight for the UFC light heavyweight title. On sept 11th I will take my first step toward that goal. Shark fights have given me the opportunity to restart my career on ppv. I will be fighting Trevor Prangley who is a tough and gritty fighter with a good record. I've been following his career for a long time and it will be an honor to fight him.
Thank you Shark Fights for this opportunity. I'm very excited and even more hungry. Leaving the UFC as I did has left a bad taste in my mouth. Also, thank you to everyone who has supported me.

I would watch you fight where ever you do. Your fights are extremely entertaining even if you lose, your style is so unique. I would like to see you fight your buddy Rashad sometime, you're both unique fighters and it would be an amazing match-up.

You must earn the opportunity to fight the best fighters in the world. That starts with winning. As stated yesterday, that unorthodox style IS NOT DOING it for you. I wish you the best but keep the aspirations in perspective.

Hey "Houston Alexander", aka Dick Master General. Go fuck yourself. I hope Keith Jardine doesn't pay attention to any of these pussies that come on the internet and talk shit. I GUARANTEE that if any of these shit heads saw Keith Jardine in person, they wouldn't have the balls to say that to him. And if they did, they'd get their ass kicked. Now THAT I would pay to see.

About This Blog

I was born in Butte, Montana.
A proud town known for its hard nosed rough sort of people. From there, I moved to a small town in Central Oregon where I spent a number of years before moving to Southern California. This is where I went to Canoga Park High School and then LA pierce Junior College.

I spent my last two years of college football at a division II school in Las Vegas New Mexico called New Mexico Highlands University. I finished playing football there and then coached for a few years when I met a guy teaching mma at the local rec. center. I was sold right away and drove to Albuquerque to meet Greg Jackson, who was already well known in the area. I then decided to move to Albuquerque to train with him. That was in 2000 and I have been here every since.

I got my big break in 2005 when, after my training partner Diego Sanchez did so well on The Ultimate Fighter season 1 where I got the opportunity to be on the second season of the show. Although I didn't win, I learned a lot from both Rich Franklin and my training partners while at the same time developing lifelong friendships. The show was great for my career, and has given me the opportunity to become a full time fighter and to progress to where I am today.

I have had 11 fights now in the UFC and I am currently regarded as one of the best fighters in the world.
