The Nemesis disaster

Tuesday, January 4, 2011

I am putting together a fund that will go to pay back the Nemesis fighters who haven't been paid. I just put up a website where all the proceeds go to that fund. Check it out and let me know what you think. Its at http://www.paythefighters.com/ I will be adding stuff from Paul Buentello and hopefully other fighters soon.

great website, and i hate to agree with dana white, but this type of promoter has no place in the mix, and i hope all ends well, also, any possibility of you fighting for shark fights again? it seamed like a good show with a pretty good crowd, and it was a amazing card for my first live event, Jardine/Alexander II????? would love that match up

About This Blog

I was born in Butte, Montana.
A proud town known for its hard nosed rough sort of people. From there, I moved to a small town in Central Oregon where I spent a number of years before moving to Southern California. This is where I went to Canoga Park High School and then LA pierce Junior College.

I spent my last two years of college football at a division II school in Las Vegas New Mexico called New Mexico Highlands University. I finished playing football there and then coached for a few years when I met a guy teaching mma at the local rec. center. I was sold right away and drove to Albuquerque to meet Greg Jackson, who was already well known in the area. I then decided to move to Albuquerque to train with him. That was in 2000 and I have been here every since.

I got my big break in 2005 when, after my training partner Diego Sanchez did so well on The Ultimate Fighter season 1 where I got the opportunity to be on the second season of the show. Although I didn't win, I learned a lot from both Rich Franklin and my training partners while at the same time developing lifelong friendships. The show was great for my career, and has given me the opportunity to become a full time fighter and to progress to where I am today.

I have had 11 fights now in the UFC and I am currently regarded as one of the best fighters in the world.
